GREGORY ROBERT ANDERSON, CFP®, Chief Investment Officer

Gregory Anderson, CFPGregory Anderson is the founder and chief executive officer of GRAnderson Wealth Management Group. In that role, he ensures that the firm always has the most modern and complete resources to address clients’ wide range of financial-planning needs. He is a certified financial planner (CFP) with a keen sense of the most appropriate investments to meet all types of financial goals, from the simplest to the most complex.

Prior to establishing GRAnderson Wealth Management Group at the behest of friends who were aware of his financial acumen, he completed a 15-year career with a highly respected financial services firm that specializes in the management of retirement and pension funds for professionals in the medical, education and cultural arenas.  He handled the inbound call center that provided financial and retirement planning advice to clients, and he served as sales director.

At the same financial services company, he later provided financial and retirement planning services for institutions and other clients. In his varied financial career, he has also managed annuity operations, where he managed a wide range of diverse projects. He started his career in the financial services industry with a regional banking group as a commercial loan analyst and banking officer (1983-1986). He then worked with a Wall Street brokerage as a financial consultant.

Gregory Robert AndersonHe received his master’s degree in financial services from The American College, and his bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Colorado College. He also holds the following official distinctions and designations:  Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC).

As CIO of GRAnderson Wealth, he personally attends to a wide range of clients, beginning with the first informational interview, personal analysis of the client’s current financial situation, research into the most appropriate investment options, ongoing management of the funds after investment, and regular consultation with those clients to assess changing conditions. Sample investment vehicles employed by Anderson include alternative investments of real estate, energy and private equity; complemented with traditional investments of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.

Anderson believes a healthy investment climate begins with a strong community, and he supports the idea of community involvement within GRAnderson Wealth Management Group. His own involvement includes board membership with The Owl Club of Denver; and with the Greater Park Hill SERTOMA Club where he serves as chairman. He also is an alumnus of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s “Leadership Denver” program.

He lives in the heart of Denver with his wife, Robin, a Certified Residential Appraiser. His adult son, Barton, is an information technology professional.  Anderson’s chief interests are his family, church, the community, and “staying educated on global financial developments that could affect his clients.” He also enjoys cycling, hiking and other outdoor activities.
